WHAT ARE THE TARGET AGES FOR OUR SPRING PROGRAMS?

  • Flag Football Participant ages are 6-9
  • Passing League Participant ages are 10-14
  • Lineman skill challenges will be conducted prior to each game; Participant ages are 6-14

WHEN ARE PRACTICES & HOW OFTEN?

Teams practice will be scheduled 3 times a week Tuesday - Thursday.

WHERE ARE PRACTICE & GAME LOCATIONS?

Home games are held at Woodbridge Middle School.  Games may be played on other Northern Virginia Fields or the Metro Region Fields.

WHAT IS THE GAMES SCHEDULE?

  • Teams will be schedule for a 6-game season with a playoff and championship for each division.
  • More experienced teams may have an opportunity to travel for more competitive tournaments.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS?

  • Game jerseys & shorts will be provided by the league and are included in the registration.
  • Practice attire will not be provided by the league.

WHAT ARE THE EXTRA COSTS BEYOND REGISTRATION?

  • You can expect team fundraising to cover additional cost to travel and or support banquet or tournament cost. 

Spring Program

Dale City Sports Club an official NFL Flag Football program offering Spring football to boys and girls between ages 6-14. NFL Flag, powered by USA Football, is the NFL's official youth flag football program and the nation's largest flag football organization, played year-round by boys and girls in more than a thousand leagues. It's a fast-paced game in a non-contact environment where the fundamentals of football can be taught as well as instill perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.  Boys and Girls Age 5-14 are encouraged to come out a play.

This seasons Flag Football, Passing League and Lineman challenges are scheduled to start on Sundays 7 April - 19 May 2024.  This will be a 6-game season with playoffs held on the weekend of 25-26 May 2024. 

Flag football rules of play will be in accordance with NFL Rulebooks.  Which governs the procedures for playing 7-on-7 flag football within USA Football’s American Development Model. It is intended to serve as guidelines that local leagues can use in full or adopt to their needs. Any rule not directly addressed in this book shall refer back to the NFHS or NCAA rulebooks. This is a good opportunity for players who want to continue enhancing their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football.  Participants will receive a game jersey, shorts and flag belt, their to keep! 

Games will be played on Sundays our program schedule will be posted on our site and updated provided via the BAND APP.  The season schedule will be posted on our website prior to Week One (1).  Schedule times can vary from week to week due to weather or circumstance beyond the leagues control.

Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our team! Each team will have USA Football qualified coaches assigned to the teams. We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coach meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season!

Registration Closes for the Spring Season  April 1st to give coaching staff time to prepare for the first weeks game.

Week 1: 7 April
Week 2: 14 April
Week 3: 21 April
Week 4: 28 April
Week 5: 5 May
Bye Week: 12 April (Mother's Day)
Week 6: 19 April
Playoff / Championship Weekend:  25-25 May

*Jerseys, Shorts and Flag Belts, come with the registration and will be distributed prior to game one.

* Shorts/and or Sweatpants without pockets are the ONLY authorized pants to be worn for safety precautions during games. If a participant wears shorts/pants with pockets, it will be in the referee's discretion to allow the player to participate in the game.
